In the local Matlock Town you can enjoy The Heights of Abraham, Gulliver’s Kingdom or the local Tin Mine Museum. The county is covered in a fantastic network of cycle routes ranging from those that suit the beginner or enthusiast.

The peak district has some of the best walks in the country that suit all ages and competencies. If fishing is your hobby then you’ll love it here. There are many carp and / or trout fisheries and Carsington Water is one of the biggest resevoirs in the country, and dont forget the River Derwent running through the centre of Matlock providing the unique backdrop to this ancient spa town.
